Well the progressive 412's did a puke on me, the right one. With the wife we hit the bike with 400 lbs. I'd like to put some thing on that will last , so what do you suggest ? other then a diet
Hold on. Softails don't run 412's or 440's Those are exposed vertical shocks like on a Dyna. If your buying progressives then Softails run 422's or like a shotgun or airtail. What year is your bike by the way.

The bike is a 95, all i can see is a progressive sticker no #. Has as 2 in lowering kit. White bro's in the front. Was told i could send the shocks to progressive for rebuild, going to call and talk to them tomarrow. The dealer is going to have to put them on for me, I guess.
Thanks for the come back and any info about what to do or what to go with the can save me some bucks, thanks again
Have them put a set of Big Springs the grey ones from LA choppers or some other supplier in them makes all the difference in the world on a softtail and the bottoming crap .
I can't talk for a softail, but my modest experience of shocks is that it is best to have them custom built. Progressive can probably rebuild yours for you, but ask them to take your weight into account. You may benefit from different springs.
The new shocks from Hagon arrived just this morning, for my wife's SuperLow! Front forks on it are next, but we are going to send them off to a specialist. Custom-built Ohlins on my Evo, so we are pushing the boat out in our household! Well, we're 100 miles from the sea, but you get the drift.....
Well called Progressive, they said send them and if they could not be rebuilt they would give me a deal on some new ones, new progressives almost $500 each.
Bikers Choice $400 for a set. Any other options
