Default 1979 FLH-80 Triple Tree assembly

Hey Guys N Gals,

I recently picked up a basket case for my first Harley and after installing the bearing and dust cover onto the lower tree, I noticed the upper and lower dust covers may be different sizes... Unfortunately, the dust cover under the bearing is already in place and can't be removed without removing the bearing, so I wanted to see if someone could shed some light on which dust cover goes where? Is it the smaller one that should be on the bottom? Or should it be on the top? Thanks for your time and I look forward to your responses!

Wink

We have a Shovel section, where you may get more help. I've replaced those bearings, but it was a long time ago!
