I am interested in buying non-repairable title bikes and swapping frames to get them back on the road.

I have found no good source of information online or through HD so far as to what may fit a certain year bike. I know that they used basically the same frame for certain models for a certain amount of time- but who out there knows exactly which frames will fit for each year? This is key for my operation. Thanks for your help!

 

what about an online parts finder.
You then look at year and model.
The look at part number for frame for a match.

I am flying totally blind here . I'm looking for any help/info . I have a 2012 engine/trans from a FLHTC . I would like to build a motorcycle around this drive line . WHAT frames are compatible with this engine/trans setup ? How old of frame will this bolt into with NO to little mod's ? What model's ect ?
any help is in great need here .

You can pretty much fit it into any twincam touring bike frame back to 99. You cam also fit it into an FXR frame with a little work.. There are aftermarket FXR frames that will take a TC bagger drivetrain with no mods tho. I think chopper guys still makes one.

It won't work on a dyna or softail frame.. It can work on a dyna if you change the primary chain, covers and tranny case.
