Default lever removal

I need to replace a clutch lever. But cant get enough slack in it without undoing anything else besides pin in the mounting? Basic right but still need to know. Thanks

Man, buy yourself a service manual before you really screw something up.

In the meantime, trace the clutch cable from the lever and you will find a rubber boot as the cable passes behind your front fender; slide the rubber boot down and you will see a hex sleeve and lock nut; back off the lock nut and turn the hex sleeve to create slack in the cable.

One of the advantages to the old 4 speed is the cable attaches to the tranny on top and can be easily disconnected....
Like the previous reply says find the cable adjustment and see if you can get enough slack to hook the lever up.
