Primary/Transmission/Driveline/ClutchFind answers to general powertrain, primary and transmission. Have clutch issues and need suggestions? Post them here.
I've researched the posts & understand that my cable can be adjusted to take up the "play" in the cable right at the lever. Exactly How do I do this? I've taken the boot off & can see where the adjustment will be, just a little unsure how to do it.
Clutch works good & the "play" is only about a quarter inch of cable.
Thx for the help. dave

Reason: added more info
On the cable is the adjuster nut. There is a long hexed nut and a short jam nut.Get two wrenches and break the small nut loose. Now you can adjust the play at the lever by turning the large hex.I think the play should be set at 1/16-1/8.Pull the cable away from the lever to check.
Once the play is set, turn the small jam nut against the large hex and tighten.
