Default Clutch cable adjustment

Can anyone tell me how to properly adjust the clutch cable in the middle of the cable ? Just put Ape Hangers on my bike and added
a new clutch cable. Have problems getting the cable to stay where I adjust it. Does the lock nut go against the top adjuster or
the bottom adjuster and what is the proper distance between the two adjusters ?

Thanks,

Default RE: Clutch cable adjustment

I'm not sure but I think the jam nut goes on the top. The best way is to see which one moves on the threaded area, that is where the the nut should go. The way to adjust the cable is to have about 1/8 inch free play on the clutch lever. Just pull on the clutch lever and adjust so that you have about an 1/8 inch free travel. Hope this helps.
