Bolt end broken in frame??

Yeah........my first crack at this sort of situation.......when I got it out I felt like I split the atom!!

One thing to note is that that if it gets the job done, it's OK. The problem is when it is isn't.. . IMO there is 4 levels of screw removal, stud flush. There are other methods but IMO there are the most common for flush breakoffs.
1. easy, pin punch. 2. reverse drill 3. tapered easyout (yours). 4. Rigid / spline.
I've removed a few of those broken reverse spiral extractors. The problem with them is that they expand and lock the screw in place if the screw is stuck well, then with too much pressure, snap off.

What are those items in #4 and how would you use them?
I didn't need anything other then drill, reverse bit and extractor.

You use them the same as the tapered extractor. I sometimes drill the hole all the way through the bolt so you I get more bite if needed. It depends on how stuck the screw is.
Add:
Don't know which snap-on set the guy is referring to but the the set I show above is pretty much the same..

I think he is referring to when a tapered extractor breaks off then it and the screw has to be removed.
