Road King Classic front brake with Fat Daddy 21
Help !! I put a set of Ride Wright 50 spoke Fat Daddies ,21 front , 18 rear , on my 07 RKC . I cannot get the front brakes to quit dragging on the rotors - HD chrome floaters . I have tried just about everything short of installing a few machine shims on the axle . It is dragging on the left side enough to heat up the disc a bit . The front wheel appears to be centered , not offset . Any suggestion would be helpful . Thanks ......

make sure the caliper sits centered over the rotor. when you look strait on the rotor, it should be centered between the pads in the caliper. if it is rubbing after the pads are seated, you will need to look into shimming your caliper to get them centered. this should fix your dragging and heating problem

Thanks , I just replaced the stock calipers with a set of HD chrome ones and that seemed to cure the problem . I was having a hell of a time with the stock ones , could not get the thing to quit dragging , thought they offset the bearings or something. Went through a set of brake pads in a 100 miles and scorched a set of rotors..
