Buying an adjustable rod could do it. Thanks for the tip.

Wait, I didn't catch this until now. Please feel free to school me if I am wrong, but is sounds to me as if your dealing with a bunch of aftermatket parts here. Again, I may be wrong as the last Low Rider I owned was a 1996, but I was under the impression that ALL Low Riders, from the beginning of time..... way back even when they were Shovels, were mid control bikes. Low Riders never came with forward controls? Cause they were marketed towards , you know, SHORT PEOPLE? Am I wrong?

Maybe you are just dealing with some aftermarket, or dealer added stuff. I can PROMISE you, my 1996 Low Rider had Mids, cause that was the very first mod I did. Swap to forwards.

Ok, that's what I thought. And that would explain the lack of adjustable rod.

Didn't intentionally try to cloud the issue. To clarify: I bought an '06 Low Rider new, had H-D forwards installed by an Indy, and now using H-D heel/toe shifter fabricated with H-D Softail parts. Pic of my shifter attached. I will look look a bit more for a larger diameter shift peg, and plan B will be to check adjustable shift rod.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
p.s. bikerlaw, You are wrong, Low Riders are marketed to Cool People.....

I'm missing something. Why can't you just remove the front shift arm and put it back on lower on the splined shaft?

LOL. My bad. I apologize. You are correct!
You know whats funny, is I remembered only because I did the EXACT same thing to my Low Rider many years ago.

Ranger, the splines offer only so much adjustment. One spline is a lot of movement. Without the fine tuning of the shift rod, it's either way up, or way down.

Thankx for clarifying, the spines on mine are small so it's a finer adjustment.
