Always loved these bikes, Bought a new FXE in 81, was my ride for 15 years. I got a soft spot for a Rainbow bike. Nice ones pop up now and again,This just might be the one.
I bought a '77,in 1978-with 3,000 miles on it. After riding a '72 sportster for about 3 years,I couldn't believe how heavy, slow, and clumsy the SG felt! Kept it for almost 12 years.
Nice bike but $12.500 for a bike that's 40 years old and no place to hull a case of beer naaa. I lust for a new bike until I check out the price and the difference I have to pay between my 2011 and a 2016 and that lust feeling goes away real fast.
That's a really well kept Super Glide. I wonder about the red silicone on the cases though...would the factory have done it all sloppy like that? I had a '78 SG in '78, don't remember it like that but it was a long time ago.
