Jeeze, you guys are rough on the HOG. Virtually every brand of bike has some sponsored/endorsed owners club. Triumph, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Victory, etc. For some riders, it is a great way to meet people and ride, others not so much. Although I don't personally belong, I'm not about to dish out a ration to someone that does and gets something out of it. Ease up.

I’ve been back in HOG for just a few years, but one thing that I’ve come to understand is that HOG members (at least in my chapter) generally enjoy themselves and their chapter activities, and really don’t give a fig for the opinions of HOG critics. I sometimes feel a bit sorry for those sour ****** who seem to think denigrating HOG members (or any other group who appear to be having more fun than them) makes them somehow superior. Maybe they just have low self-esteem...(?)

And have you noticed how often the badasses here (not naming any names!) who proclaim so loudly that they don't care about anyone else's opinion seem to expect others to care about theirs? I really get a chuckle about that!

I didn't read anything in this thread that seemed mean or overboard. It reads as a little snarky, smart *** fun to me. I laughed, and I would be willing to bet the HOG officers did too. Why are you so serious?
As expected, I assumed and merely made an *** out of myself! Admittedly, a little good-natured ribbing can sometimes be misunderstood in written text without the benefit of face-to-face contact. Therefore, put out in the context you intended, I agree it was not mean or overboard and I laughed too - not at the target, but with him. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

You sound like a clown. Make an appointment like everyone else your royal HOGness.

But he's the Grand Pooba of the HOG chapter. Surely his bike is more important than other customers.

Not taking the OP's side --

But I know of one dealer who does not do appointments -- you take your bike in and they call when its done - they will even tell you it may be 3 to 4 weeks because they are back logged.
