I remember when I got my 2009 they tried to sell me "First in Line" service. I asked him what if someone else had purchased it and was there when I got there?

The guy who cuts my hair (barber) takes some appointment, but also walk in. He's open Tuesday- Friday 10-7

If I show up on Tuesday at 5:00 as a walk in and his chair is full with guys waiting. Should I be pissed off if asks me to come back Wednesday?

He'd likely stay until he cuts everyone's hair, but if he closes at 7:00 how late should he stay to be offering "good service"

Good question, I suppose you could get into a bidding war with the guy ahead of you

Reminds me of the FastPass they sell at Disney World to avoid waiting in long lines. I never heard of dealers doing this in the Chicago or Milwaukee area. Damn shame they don't honor first come, first served like most shops.

Yep ... That's the way it should be.

Many Chicago area dealers have a "Fast Lane" program that offers first-come, first-served service for small jobs (tires, batteries, fluids). I arrived early one Saturday morning and was third in line. One of the guys ahead of me brought a box of donuts for the service writers and techs. Not a bad move.

Yep ... I had several customers who would show up with a "box of goodies" and expected ( and usually got ) "super service" ( I owned an automotive shop for many many years )

Should be removed from Hog appointed position. OP has "Entitlement" syndrome.

Oh well, feces occurs. Sounds like you adjusted, moved on and got your tires replaced elsewhere. Whether you give up your HOG position and move on is totally up to you.
Someone else will cover it for you.
