Default Barn find '73 XLCH

10 miles off pavement up here in Canada, I've found a '73 XLCH with 6200 original miles. It even still has the original Bendix carb, if any of you have been around long enough to know what that is. Anyhow; owner had me kick start it for him...it sounded good! He's willing to sell; should I walk or what should I offer??? If I bought it I intend to keep it and just clean it up as a survivor; also save it from the indignity of a hillbilly chop job if it goes into his farm auction...

Cool bike. I would love to see some pics.

The Ironheads are undervalued imo. I paid $1600 for my 77, but it was messed with a bit. In some cases good - nice drag pipes S&S carb and AC, and some not so good - awful aftermarket tank and some creative wiring that I am still sorting through. It's a fun project.

Good idea. Low miles and it's in running condition. Sounds like a good start. Good luck if ya buy it. Those old XLCHs are fun.

Price is right go for it and thumbs up about the hillbilly chop job. Isn't a shovel or a pan but those have kool karma all there own.

My first bike was a '66 XLCH, great bike, enjoyed the hell out of it, & it was fast!
