Default Ride quality on deluxe with 21inch wheel

Can anyone share what the ride quality is with a 21inch wheel on a deluxe. I am looking to lower my bike and add a 21inch wheel and wanted to get others opinion on ride quality.

The wide 21" x 3.5" rides great. The skinny 21" x 2.15 suck IMO. They track the rain groves, etc. making them perform poorly.

Can you put a 3.5 without any modifications?

I have a 21x3.5 on my Deluxe and Heritage (thanks HogPro!) and the slow speed maneuvering takes about a week to get used to the extra weight up front. On the positive side, the front end is more planted on the road when highway riding. Overall, the difference in ride quality is minimal compared to stock. Ron

I have a 21x3.5 on my deluxe and it rides great. I have not had any issues at all. I think the deluxe should come with a 21" right out of the factory IMHO!

Dunno about ride quality, but IMHO, you will destroy the classic looks on what is Harley's best looking bike currently in production. I think anything BUT a 16" on an FL front end looks too trendy & silly, but that's just me.

Meh. Last year's fad. Save your money and ride your delux.

A 2.15 x 21 on a Deluxe will ride differently than a stock wheel. Not bad, just different. Call around, you might find a Night Train at one of your local dealers, if so, try and take a test ride. There's other differences (rake, rear wheel), but you can get an idea of how the 21 wheel feels on a Softail.

A laced 21 wheel with long shots or cholos on a lowered Deluxe or Heritage is a classic west coast look.

I nabbed the above pic from another thread on the forum. This bike is flat gorgeous.
