Default Wheel Chock

Just bought a new front wheel roll on chock for my 16 flhxs. Going to use it for maintenance, and some space saving in garage. However, we live in an apartment so I can't put down a concrete anchor to hold it down when I remove the bike. The chock lifts and then slams down when I take the bike out unless I can get my wife to stand on it for me. I can however drill into the walls of I want, wondering if I could use the strength of the studs to hold it down? Any thoughts or recommendations?!? Thanks!

so simple! Yet it never came to mind, lol

What would be a good system to be able to take the chock off and lay the plywood up agains the wall out of the way when not using?

If you see it my picture 2" velcro is all that's holding it still.

Before I put the flooring in I simple stuck the velcro to concrete.

Do you have a setup where you can take it off the plywood and store it out of the way when needed? Thinking I could drill out enough to glue a nut into the wood, then run the bolt in and out when using?

They make different types of concrete anchors. The ones you would want are Drop-in or flush mount anchors. Look up Red Head drop in anchors and use bolts to mount it. When not in use, just remove the bolts and screw in some Allen head set screws, so the threads stay clean.

I rent too. I took a 1/2 inch 8x4 foot piece of plywood. Sawed it in half. Glued and screwed the two halves together to make an 8x2 foot plank to mount the chock. Works great.

Thanks for all the help everyone. Sorry I haven't been on to reply in awhile, the day after I posted this I was t-boned on my bike by a lady that ran a red light. Broke my leg, so needless to say, won't be needing the chock setup for at least a month or two...
