Default blown out knee

We'll today was my wife's birthday and we were gonna try to get our worked knocked out and head out for a ride since we've had some desent weather. We run a ranch with 120 or so Gypsy Vanner horses and today was vet day. Long story short, I had one of the mares jerk her foot out of my hand and caught me on the outside of my knee with it locked out. Yep, folded it inside. Doc so far has found my femur and the lower bone busted off and I go in the morning to see what else is desroyed in there. So looks like I'll be getting a new knee. But man this is painful. Oh well, I'll live to fight another day.

Glad to hear you're ok, all things considered!

From the sound of it, you're in good physical condition (running a ranch is no easy task), this will make your recovery much quicker and efficient. Make sure to follow the physical therapy prescribed exercises when you're out of surgery.

Here's to a fast recovery! You'll be back in the saddles in no time

WOW, it takes quite a blow to brake the femur, wishing you a speedy recovery.

Not the best way to go for a knee surgery. Certainly one of the the most painful. Hope all goes well and you have a fast recovery. Get used to sleeping on your back...
