Default Went in to buy a Sportster, came out with an Ultra Limited

Saturday the wife and I rode up to Lubbock to try to see if we could swing a trade on a 2914 XL1200T for her. When we arrived, they had just sold it, so we started looking at a 2013 Ultra Limited in ember red and merlot that we both liked. Got talking to the salesman and they offered me a fair trade on my 05 Softail Standard and a smidge under book value on the Limited, so I took the deal. I couldn't believe the difference in the how much better that bike handled over either of my Softails. I guess it's time now to start "making this one mine.

Congrats. Hard to beat the comfort of the big touring bikes, and the big surprise is they still handle incredibly well!

This story reminds me of when I went in to buy new winter riding gloves in January 2015. I walked out with the gloves and a brand new 2015 Road Glide Special. Make it yours, ride it like you stole it and enjoy the new bike!

I told my wife I fixed the gas cap on my Road King. I took it off and rolled a Street Glide under it and put it back on.

Yeah... My wife cringes if the phrase "I need new tires" ever comes out of my mouth. 2 bikes and 2 Mustangs have previously reached the end of their "tire life"

"Honey, come check out my new tires..."

Thanks all. It's gonna take a little to get used to the extra weight and really gonna take a while to get used to the shaking at idle. That counter balanced motor on the softails all these years have me used to the smooth idle.
