Default Used motor oil.

Is it safe to get used motor oil on paint. By accident of course. Will it do any long lasting damage? Besides being a pain in the *** to get off.

Might be easier to invest in some towels to cover your painted parts when working on your bike. WD40, now oil, maybe brake fluid is next and yes, that will damage your paint.

Not sure what this subject has to be do with being "General Harley Davidson Chat" but oil will not hurt painted parts as long as it's wiped off within a reasonable time frame.

Cygnusx is correct in that brake fluid will cause damage quicker, but it too if wiped off quickly should not harm the paint.

Does the OP understand the principle behind "counter-steering"?
