Gas leak
I was getting ready to take the bike out Saturday afternoon after a service call, working on the van and working on the car.
Start her up, back her out, set her on the jiffy to warm up and a gas leak. WTF?
I thought it was the petcock coming loose again. so I try to tighten it up. still leaking.
So I syphon the tank, take it off (Golan) and put the Pingle back on.
Put gas back in and still leaking.
Come to find out the hose had a hole and was mushy. I could cut it back but it was tawt. So I yanked it. 3:30 and all the auto parts stores around me are closed. Frantic Google search I get a parts store the next town over. I need a foot, I buy 4'. I figured bike's 23 years old, plus Ethanol in the gas, = change the crossover pipe too.
Never did get to get out Saturday. Oh, and I put the Golan back in.
Moral of the story. Don't overlook your fuel lines.
