Power surges can damge anything plugged in, anything. Likely took out the add on module and didn't short a wire.

I sure hope it's a quick easy fix I got so much going on I ain't had time to work on it and it's messing with my head thinking about it lol. Thanks

Even with the best surge protection you still have only a 50/50 chance of being okay. The only guarantee of this to not happen is to unplug the charger during a thunderstorm........

Just curious, are you sure your turn signals and brake lights worked before the lighning strike??

Yes they worked before the storm I check them before every ride so I know they worked

If you dig around the "electric" forum area, you may be able to find my post about my recent accy. fuse dilemma. It turned out to be the orange and white accy wire flopping around inside the headlight case shorting out. Hard to diagnose, very very easy to fix with a little elec. tape over the bare spot in the wire. Can't promise you this is your problem but, easy to check. Just pop out the headlight and inspect that spare wire's insulation. I do hope this helps.
