Throttle stop screw rattles downward
Hey yall.
The last two couple days were my first days ever on my harley. When i started the bike i used the throttle stop screw on the carb to keep the idle up and not stall the bike for the first few miles. I gradually would loosen it to allow the throttle to close more and more, but I kept noticing I had to keep loosening it.i eventually figured out the screw was actually vibrating downward and threading in further with the throttle open. I heard of people using loctite to stop this, but if i did that how would i rotate the screw manually on the first few miles of warmup? I also want to know if theres a bigger headed screw i can get, possibly with a plastic **** on it, so its easier to rotate the screw by hand on the fly.
Also for what its worth the carb is a mikuni tm40
Thanks yall.

You can if you're using the Harley choke cable with the Mikuni. If you're using the Mikuni choke cable there are only detents for "full on" and "full off". The cable won't hold position in between.
