I can't get the thumb screw that puts tension on the throttle (poor man's cruse control) to keep throttle locked on. I have it as tight as possible. Do I need to remove the spring on the screw?
Did you take apart your throttle switch housing? If you did there is a small piece called a friction shoe which the screw pushes up to create tension on the throttle. If this piece is not in place the screw by itself will not do any good.
That must be it. I can't find it in the service manual. Thanks for your help.
