throttle lock friction spring missing
Ok, so my throttle lock isn't working anymore, I turn it as far as it will go and it doesnt tighten the grip, well today I decided to take a l
ook and open the throttle housing, looked at the bottom part and the only thing I saw was the tip of the star screw no friction spring any where, it's odd because this is the 1st time I opened the throttle housing.

You should be able to identify the missing part on this website, which will enable you to buy a new one. They are all available separately.

My little star wheel broke off many years ago, and when I had the throttle assembly off I just took the little shoe out completely. It's a small curved plastic piece, easy to lose. I still have it somewhere in my box of takeoff parts.
