2. The problem manifested itself with two different head units. This suggests you should look elsewhere for the problem.

It's not your headunit. Something is frying your headunit if it has been replaced twice already. Something is causing the headunit to fry.

1. Get the Tech to ride B****.
2. Record the HU when it cuts out. (It happened twice already so you should know when it will happen.)
3. Aftermarket?
4. Drop the bike off, and let a tech get it for a weekend to see if they can get it to do malfunction.
5. Buy a new 2018 CVO.

That is why I will never buy a $40.000 Geezer Glide . Really a radio, GPS ! How about a propane grill and maybe a TV ? Why not just drive a car ? Buy a real motorcycle like a Sporster and get that real motorcycle experience . Just you and the road, no distractions and nothing to brake, usually . You can be riding along and enjoying the sound of that beautiful V-Twin engine, who needs a radio .
