I've been riding 45 years and just learned Harley calls it a jiffy stand...go figure.

Funny...I've been calling it by the correct name since I've been riding two wheel. KICKSTAND. Why? Because when I've tried to "jiffy" it down, I end up kicking it down. That's why it always will be a kickstand.

Besides, jiffy is a brand of peanut butter.
