Talking Possible to install cams with motor out of frame?

This may seem like a dumb question to some but I am currently re building a basketcase and I wanted to do some engine mods. Figured this would be the time to teach myself how to do cams. Is it possible to do a cam install with adjustable pushrods with the engine out of the frame?

Thank you in advance!

Only if you want it to be easier and faster than doing it in the frame.

I thought I read the thread title wrong...starting to wonder if the OP needs to be doing engine work himself.

So following this logic, the MoCo delivers engines without cams to the assembly line, installs the cam-less engines in the frames, then installs the cams? Gotcha...

Seriously, let me see. No offense but if you are serious about wanting to rebuild a basket case and have to ask this question, are you sure that you are ready/able to do a total rebuild of a basket case, because to me, the obvious answer would be Yes.

Yes...and before you ask, you cannot use an actual basket for the case.
