Default When you think your M8 will be the one without issues......wrong.

So, the new M8 stalled on me twice. Once when i was slowing down behind a car to merge onto a highway, and another time when i was slowing down at a red light. Second issue, which i have noticed since i got it is, when i am at a stopped at a red light the idle is normal, then out of nowhere it idles very high and fast. I thought it was just "breaking in", but i'm thinking the two issues are linked. Bringing it into MoCo next week.

Anyone else have similar issues?

Do you have eitms enabled? I believe it raises the idle rpm when it turns on

The OEM idle speed was lower, and on some bikes would stall. When I did my HD Stage 1 download, it increased the idle speed, and as I come to a stop with clutch in it actually increases a bit more.

Your dealer will likely do the latest stock map download, which should take care of it.

Stock idle speed on a M8 is 850.When you slow to a stop it will be at 1K then when standing it will go down to 850. Which when new and tight sometimes stalls. I did the stage I and it ups the idle to 950.
