I slowly added more product getting it to the severe amount which didn’t take care of it either.

I rode 650 miles to TN with my hands, arms, and head being vibrated like an orbital sander and upon getting to Pigeon Forge I went straight to Rocky Top HD to have the Ride On taken out of the tire and the wheel balanced like normal to see what happened. I couldn’t take the vibration any longer and wasn’t waiting till I got home. The guys at HD were familiar with Ride On and echoed the sentiments here, guys there use it with no issues, and said my tire is most likely out of round causing a slight hop.

Well, after an hour and $100, the bike rides smooth as can be again. It ended up being that Ride On couldn’t balance my wheel/tire.

The engineer at Ride On said that they have seen this before (although rare) so I’m not knocking the product here, it’s still in my rear tire with no problem. Oh well, I can live with the few weights that are on the rim to not be shaken to insanity any longer.
Did they offer you a refund by chance?

I haven’t called the person I spoke to at Ride On yet to let them know that removing the sealant and balancing the wheel the traditional way cured it. The last time I spoke to the engineer he had mentioned that in some cases to get the wheel to balance with Ride On, they had to go above the “severe” dose, but to not do that, that it was unsafe.

I’m not going to ask for a refund, but I’ll report back if they offer one. Either way, it was fun to try and it sure made me go over the bike end to end lol.

This is hard to believe ! Ride-On has worked in mine and many friends bikes like magic over many years. It has solved many a tire with so many weights on them i couldn't believe it. Removed weights and it rode like it was on glass. I guess nothing is 100%.

I would say you got a bad tire. How much wheel weight was added to balance the tire? Normal, or heavy. With the issue getting worse after a few miles when the tire heats up; I'd say the tire is out of round or has a belt separating. Glad the problem is fixed, but keep an eye on it.

...and it does this without gumming up your inner wheel like that fix-a-flat stuff.

Yeah and I don’t know why it didn’t work because my wheel didn’t have a ton of weights on to begin with and still doesnt. I noticed that after about 500 miles the vibration happened on cue at 65, and it was it’s worse at 70. I had the wheel and tire rebalanced and have put on about 800 since then and it’s done nothing but ride smooth.

Just took a pic of the wheel weights:

If your bike really has 9835K (as in thousand) miles, it deserves to vibrate a little.

Lol good catch. It’s got about 12k as of today. Been riding the TN/NC mountains the last few days.
