Will 94 FLSTN run for 7 yrs with camshaft upside down? I had dealer replace primary seal last year and it just struck me as maybe a SCAM as of late. I also now sometimes hear a metallic clack on cold starts that quickly dissipates but I upgraded the tappets to get more oil to top end, so why the clacking after upgrade (they also installed new pistons and rings) THANKS!

There is no right side up or upside down for a camshaft, some one is jacking with you. One time back when we had full service gas stations, I convinced my sister to tell the gas station attendant to check her piston rings, and she did, but the attendant told her to tell her little brother to Stop It!

So you can just stick a cam in, in any position? I'm learning something from 2 people, early in one thread. One has a camshaft either backwards or 180* out and his bike runs, and another says it doesn't matter. I've wasted so much time. Why do they even bother with those silly marks?
