32 yr vet of DPD, moto-cop among other duties. Providing escort for the funeral of another officer that had died of cancer. Hit by a drunk driver and killed. LEO was getting ready to retire. Had a new HD ready for retirement. New bike still in the bed of his pickup. He never rode it.
Dirtbag drunk had 7 beers and 2 margaritas before the accident.
Sad story.

Driver had a blood alcohol level of 0.19 (more that 2x legal limit), AT 6:00 AM!!
LEO was sitting still, blocking an exit ramp from the interstate, guy hit him full speed.
THEN........Guy bonds out less than 24 hours later! $ 76K bond, $ 7,600 posted. Police union is highly pissed at the DA.
