Default Rear brake issues/Brake power

Long story short but I was on highway and there was a cone on highway that I couldn’t avoid. Cone snapped my brake peddle in half and broke linkage between pedal and brake rod. Replaced parts myself and now I have very little brake power. Brake pedal has a sponge feel and not very stiff when pressed. I have bled system and still no change. Anyone have any ideas what the problem can be? Appreciate any feedback

Welcome to the Forum
Have you made sure your linkage is adjusted right?

@critter85
thanks for the greeting and response.
Have not checked the adjustment. Will see if that works. I’ll keep you posted

Could have damaged the internal plunger. Rebuild it, you’ve changed everything else.

Have a feeling this is most likely what’s wrong. Thanks for the feedback. Not much experience on working on bikes, you think its simple enough to try and rebuild myself?

Ya, get a rebuild kit, comes with everything. Plunger may just need new "O" rings. But it's $40, so replace everything if your in there anyway.

Hey Ranger, when you say rebuild it, do you mean rebuild the rear master cylinder or is that different from rebuilding the plunger?
