Front Brake lever
Hi Everyone, been away from the forum for a while! But I have a question on front brake lever. I have a 07 Ultra Classic and the brake lever is like loose, like it doesn't just flops around I can just move it up and down, is there anywhere I can tighten the lever. Also, I noticed that my tail light doesn't come on when I press rear brake foot pedal, but it does come on when I pull the front brakes any suggestions?
Front brake: likely a worn pin bushing, PN 45423-96. Made of plastic, I believe, prone to wear.
Rear brake: likely the sending unit, PN 72023-51E.
Both parts available at your dealer. However, if you choke at the twenty buck price of the latter, consider going to your local auto.parts store and getting a common 1/8-NPT brake switch with two spade terminals for about a third the cost.
If you don't already have one, get a factory service manual before you turn a wrench!

What he said! I had to change out my sending unit last summer. Simple job. Its located on the right side, near the frame in the tranny area. It's activated by brake fluid pressure, so when you open the system you will get air in the line. After install a rear brake bleed will be needed. What the heck, good time to purge out the old fluid anyways.
Do it right and no bleed will be required...I've done several and never needed to bleed...but, if you do need to, I agree that you should flush. And as long as you're hot, bleed the fronts too.
