Default Recommended modular helmet, and best place to buy?

I was looking to get a modular helmet now that I'm back on the road. For those that wear them, what brand do you prefer?

Thanks!

Lots of helmet threads on here lately. Try Revzilla.com-my pick https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...-c3-pro-helmet

Pricey, but how much is your head worth to you. AND, if you hang on a bit, Revzilla has lots of sales and closeouts, and their customer service can't be beat.

I was just looking at Revzilla, just several new brands from when I was last riding and had a helmet.

I have a Nolan and like it very much. It is one of two brands that has a locking mechanism that has passed testing for resistance to opening in a crash. It is not noisy if you ride with the chen bar up. A little pricey but not bad. There may be some wiggle room in the price. The store where I got mine knocked about $50 off the price. It is a small independent dealer so a bigger chain like Cycle Gear should be able to do the same.

I bought an HJC IS-Max 2 through Revzilla and have been very pleased with the purchase and the helmet. You can't be Revzilla's return policy.

I tried on a Shoei Neotec, and it seemed like a good helmet but I bought the RF1200.

I was looking at modular helmets a few months ago. Rounded my search down to these:
Schuberth C3 or C4
Shoei Neotec 2
AGV Sport Carbon
Simpson Ghost Bandit Mod
Was about to pull the trigger on the Simpson, but decided against going with a modular and bought the regular Ghost Bandit.

I used to have an HJC CL-MAX modular. Would still have it, but at 10yrs, I tossed it due to age. Never had any issues with the quality or the noise. I would reccomend getting one with a name brand though, as then face shields and other parts are readily available if/when needed. Nothing worse than finding out that your super bargain helmet is useless if the face shield gets scratched.

A few months ago I bought a Nolan N100-5 modular. Very satisfied with it.

OP, I don't live in the US but if I did I would probably buy from RevZilla as I understand they have a good return policy.
