Default Putting a 2016-2017 harley radio in a 2006

So I'm wondering if it's possible to put in a harley touchscreen in my bike. It's a 2006 sg. The radio is coming from a newer bike.

I have no idea if it will fit but to prevent theft, modern audio often has kill features that disable use in other vehicles.

I know I'll have to change the inner daring which is no big deal. But matching up everything else is what I'm worried about.

If you are referring to the new Boom Box GTS or the older Boom Box GT, the answer is no.

is there a reason why it wouldn't work? Our of curiosity? It would be the harley boom one though.

The way I understand it is that they are not compatible with ECM prior to 14.

Juts use zip ties to hold it in....no, but really, get the wiring schematic and figure it out. Power, ground, constant power, left front. right front, left rear, right rear speakers(both+ and-) thats about what wires you would be tracing, ignition etc. You will have a hell of a time if you arent electronics savy, and you may even have drivability problems if you tap intothewrong wirezzz...

i haven't really looked into the wiring schematics, but the newer bikes have can-bus systems, whereas the older ones don't. that may cause some problems since with canbus you have fewer wires carrying the signal back and forth.
