I swear, my Harleys are living, breathing beings...

I bought a 1991 FXSTC brand new on the dealer floor and had more good times, women, road trips etc on it than any other bike with never a hiccup. My unit was slated for a mediterranean Sixth Fleet deployment in 1998 so I decided to sell it. The day I was dropping it off at the new buyers house it wouldn't start. The starter relay went out on it in the back of my pickup. It was like a "Christine" moment as it was almost saying "don't unload me, I want to stay with you".
Did the blacked out thing 10 years before harley made it popular.

I work part time at the local newspaper. I run the inserting machine with 6 other guys at the various stations and the belt. This a machine that puts the various sections and ads in the front section. When we are nearing the end of a run the guy on the belt with the counter will yell "40" which means we have 40 copies to go before the end of the run. This gives me a few seconds to prepare to shut down the machine. It is quite often that the machine will shut itself down due to a jam or a misfeed just after he yells 40. It seems the machine doesn't want to be shut down and left alone for another week.

She worked fine for me but when the shop owner tried the start button on the handle bar didn't work and the starter stuck on when he hit the button on the solenoid.
Turned out the spade connector was a bit loose and corroded which is why the handle bar button didn't work.
I guess I should have explained to Tina why I was dropping her off at a shop instead of working on her myself!!!!
