Toys for Tots is held in the first week of December for us. We often have snow and cold weather during that time. A guy in my neighborhood died on the expressway on his way back from the event. It had snowed 6 inches and he lost control of the bike and was run over by a vehicle that could not stop.

I am not sure if they do this because of guts, stupidity or that these people are wired differently. Either way, kudos to them for riding in winter. I haven't ridden since late October and I am going bonkers already.

Hey Mark, thanks for setting up a booth at this year's Progressive Motorcycle show in Chicago this year. It was a pleasure to meet you and say hello in person.

I bought a new 68 BSA and I figured I could kick start it at down to 20*. Road all winter 5 miles to work except on snowy icy roads. Anything blow 20* didn’t interest me.

Unless there's a life or death reason for going somewhere, that's straight up stupidity.
