I would think they would give you a breathalyzer. At big bike rally’s anyway.

One guy dropped an Ultra in the parking lot at the Dealership when we got back in. His demo rides were over.

I've demoed bikes at Daytona, I was surprised the rides were not escorted you could really get them into corners and pick up some speed. I was there early one Friday morning and got to ride about 6 bikes without waiting.
Yeah I demoed an Indian and then a lowrider at the Harley tent the other day at Bike Week. There was no wait for either one. No escort. It was really nice.... I was surprised they didn't even check you back in when you got back.

The last demo event I went to last year at Ohio Bike Week was automated. All you had to do was provide your license at the HD demo tent and they scanned it into the database. You were then given a card good for the entire event. You could pretty much stop by any time, the attendant scanned your license and you could hop on any available bike you wanted. There was a suggested demo route but that was merely formal. You just head out and pretty much do what you wanted -- within a reasonable amount of time.Return the bike, hop on another available one if you wanted etc...Any time, all day, for the entire event. As long as a bike was available. I only was interested in a demo ride of the new Heritage so that's the only bike I took out. But technically you could ride every bike in the fleet if you wanted, probably all within a couple of hours.

Not a bad idea. I did a demo event for a car one time where we had the opportunity to race the car around a track to test performance against its competitors. Anyways they did a breathalyzer when I got there and did another one when I walked away from the main area to go take a pee.

If you are looking to jump through hoops, then go try to ride a Motto Guzzi. I had to fill out a 3 ring binder full of papers and still didn’t get to ride one after trying for 2 days. As far as I am concerned they can kiss my grits.
