Power loss at top end
When I'm in first gear and really getting on it when I get near the top end it's like it just Peters out like its starving for air maybe. Has anybody else had this happen.

There's a factory-set rev limiter that stops the fun around 5500 rpm (unless the limit has been raised with a tuner). No point in wringing out a stock engine any further anyways.

The stock cams run out of steam up top. Might be time to look at some mods to get it feeling good to you again.

It maybe time to shift to second gear at that point...

Happens to me every time I bump the rev limiter in any gear. My fault, since I wasn't paying attention. Easy enough to get around it- just upshift!
