Default Mount Left or Right
New to HD but not new to bikes. I always get on a bike from the left side (or port side if your a boat guy LOL) but have seen a number of people (in videos) that get on the bike from the right side (starboard) which I thought was wrong. Wondering if there is a correct or incorrect way to get on, and why? Wonder what the masses do.

normally from the port side (no i'm not navy) but will mount either side. I don't care what others think.... if I want to go, I'm gonna go!!

I get on from the right. My leg has to go highest, at it's closest point to me. It's all downhill from there.

I get on from the port side and get off on the starboard side.

Typically from the left. Most motor cops will get on from the right for safety reasons.

No set side for me. Usually from the left, but if I’m mounting up from the side of the road I’ll mount from the right to keep the bike between me and the traffic.

I mount from the right side because I'm left-handed.
