I don't leave the house in the morning on the way to work if it's raining, but don't care if it rains on the way home. Just don't care to be soaking wet when I get to work. I used to ride to work in the rain, not any more. I will leave out in the rain just to go riding around, doesn't bother me at all.
Oh yeah, people think I'm crazy, too!

I had to draw the line a few weeks ago when it was coming down so hard it was coming through the face shield gasket on my helmet. That plus the fog was creating a very dangerous situation and I couldn't see anything. A lot of water was on the roads and I was also a bit concerned about hydroplaning. I pulled over and waited for it to slow down a little.

Another little tip for riding in the rain: When y'all carry your rain gear or even when you don't, place a large trash can liner wherever y'all have storage. In a pinch, it can be used to cover yourself if you didn't bring rain gear with you at the time. Just cut holes for the arms and one for your head. Otherwise it does come in handy for covering whatever you might be carrying.

Yrs.ago (2005 I think) leaving Hot Springs,Arkansas it started raining when we hit Texarkana, Tx...240 miles later it finally stopped when I got to Mauriceville, Tx..I had a pos rain suit and it was miserable. Not long after that I bought HD raingear,it was pretty expensive but haven't regretted it once.Good rain gear makes all the difference.
