I like filling up with premium cause I look so damn good at the pump when I do

None. If you drive easy and don't nail or bog it, most will run on regular as long as you live in the level country. You will never put enough miles on it to gum up the injectors.

Hit the nail on the head. Unless there's been work done involving increasing the compression, or if that came from the factory with high comp, there's no benefit of using hi octane gas. Doesn't burn any better or cleaner, just means it can get squashed harder before it blows up on its own.

I use premium, Ive tried regular and mid grade but I had pinging. So the extra 2.50 per fill up is not a problem.

Mine pings on regular, it is a stock 88. But my sleds that call for high octane run fine on regular, good thing as they only get 10mpg

Well every gas station around here has an on site car wash, so where would I fill up?

I'm curious to why it's to be avoided.......

I've used gas from stations that also have a car wash on site and I'm guessing the soap leaches into the underground tanks because I was blowing bubbles out my exhaust.
