gasoline question
#71
it’s just hopped up .. Not gonna say anything other than it has all the good parts in it . Forged S&S and it’s set up at high compression.. It will run on premium but Nothing like it runs on Race Gas .. I have a supplier that has race fuel all the way up to their 120 Octane. Renegade Gas is the brand .. They usually have 110 ,112 , 116 and the 120 Nitros is what they call it . Of course it’s not nitros , just the name of it. .. But they were out of the 110 , so I got the closest one which is the 112 .. Hoping it won’t Gauld my pistons or burn a valve or something..

There are about 50 different components that go into gasoline. Octane # is just that, a number that tells you the ability to resist detonation. If you turtle around on your bike and really dont create any cylinder pressure, go ahead try regular. One of the other properties higher octane fuels usually have is they burn slower, another way to resist detonation. This has always cracked me up, a guy spends big $$$ and is pissed if gas is more $. Happens in the racing world all the time. $10K racing motor pissed off gas is $8 a gallon
