I've been using Shoei helmets for a while now, and while I like them, they press on my forehead and cause a little pain after a few hours. I tried compressing the foam a bit, but that didn't help all that much. So what is the best 3/4 open helmet for a 2XL oval head?

 

The one that you try on and like the way it fits.

 

Arai makes helmets for an oval head but idk about 3/4. Check out revzilla, they have a filter input for head shape.

I found a 3/4 made by LS2 that is what you need but I don't see any more around.
Go to Revzilla where they have helmets categorized by head shape to look at.

 

I wear a long oval hat and I have a Bell Custom 500 that fits me good.

 

I have to wear an Arai Signet because of this problem. The Signet is perfect, but it's a full-face helmet.

I've tried the Arai 3/4 (?Ram I think) and it is NOT a long oval.

Their reviews tend to be pretty accurate - to include their head shape ratings.

 

I also have a long oval head and the only helmet I've found that fits correctly is the Arai Signet series. In the past 7 years I've had the Signet Q and the Signet X. I tried the Arai 3/4 helmets and they are not for long oval heads. I hope you find one because I will buy it too.

 

I have a long oval and found the Shoei JO perfect as you can get thinner inserts for the front to back padding - unless you already have this model ?

The only other I found to fit was the Davida JET model in xxl

 

LS2 makes a long oval in different configurations, I have their half shell with visor, otherwise it’s Arai as others have mentioned which I also have.
