Default RK caught air....

I was cutting to the front of a big line of traffic and got really lucky I didn’t wipe out!

As I was getting ready to jump back in line I was still off to the left side of the yellow line and hit a deep pot hole that had a steep 8-10” lip on the outside of it.

At around 45 mph it kicked my front end up 2-3’ in the air and when the back tire hit it slammed the front down pretty hard and the back felt like it was about 5’ up while was starring at pavement. It all happened really fast and basically felt like horse trying to buck me off.

I ended up okay as well as the bike... I gave the bike a really good look when I got home and everything appears to be good.

Be careful and alert when trying to get around traffic...

Check those tires real well. You could have damaged the cords without any external damage apparent.

I nailed a 45lbs rubber outrigger pad on the highway doing 80+ on my old dyna. The pad was 3-4 inches thick and I caught about a foot of air of that. Couldn't avoid it and didn't see it till the last minute. Scared me shitless.

I'd say you're prepped and ready for your Snake River attempt. Seriously though, glad you're OK. Sounded close to going very wrong; good job making it through.

The front of my RGS would have bottomed out on the front fender. Don't ask me how I know...
Have you checked yours?

Yessir... No damage.

First thing I looked at while I was still on the road was Tour Pak and Bags... I thought they might have came loose on that big of a jolt, especially the detachable TP.
