Republic of Texas ROT Rally in Austin, TX June 13-16

The ROT rally/meet is gonna be hotter than spicy BBQ sauce!

 

Yeah, been there, done that. Had a great time, both times I went. First time with Friends, we rode all day, hung out on 6th. Street for dinner and drinks in the evenings, We stayed in hotels.
The second time I went, we actually went to the Rally Campgrounds. ZZ Top was the headliner. Shooter Jennings got pissed off and walked off the stage because the crowd did not appreciate him (to his liking) and his band enough.
We had a great time! ZZ Top was awesome!

 

This should be in the golf cart section. It's barely a motorcycle rally.

 

I live and hour from Austin out in the Hill Country and as I was out and about yesterday (Friday) I didn't see much more motorcycle traffic than I normally do.

 

I went to the rot rally in 2005,it was so friggin hot that Ive never been back.They need to move it to Oct.imo.

 

This. I went in 2007 and 2009. With the heat and humidity, it really wasn’t a lot of fun.

 

I spoke a day to soon. Yesterday there were a bunch of bikes up here on the Devils Backbone and the surrounding area. Good to see riders out having a good time.
