2017 SG Check Engine Light, Speedo & Cruise Not Working
My Georgia friends are somewhere near Grand Junction, Co on their way to the West Coast and one of them just called me. His 2017 Streetglide's speedometer & cruise control have stopped working and his check engine light is also on. Oil level is fine. Nearest H-D dealer doesn't open til tomorrow. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with symptoms like this?

Have him pull the codes then go from there.
Diagnostic Mode:
1 Press and hold the trip odometer reset switch, (trip Button) while turning the Ignition on.
2 Release the trip button after diag appear on the odometer display
3 Press and release the trip button and ECM will appear on the odometer display. It will have a Y for yes or N for no depending if there are any ECM codes present. y (yes) means there is a code there
4 Quickly press and release the trip button to cycle through the modules. Modules include ECM, BCM, SPDO, ABS and Rad, (Engine Control Module, Body Control Module, Antilock Brake System, Radio).
5 Once the desired module is displayed press and hold the trip button.
6 If any DTC’s are stored the odometer will display the DTC. Quickly pressing the trip button will cycle through the stored DTC’s
7 When all DTC’s have been cycled through the odometer will display end.
8 To clear all DTC’s press and hold the trip button while a DTC is displayed.
9 Press and release the trip button to move to the next module.
10 Make note of all DTC’s. Operate bike to verify DTC’s are set and are current.
11 Turn Ignition off to exit diagnostic mode.

Thanks for the replies. To follow up, my friend started out this morning with speedo and cruise both suddenly working but with the check engine light still on. At some point before getting to the dealership in Durango, the check engine light went off. Sounds like someone in the service department there checked for codes and apparently just cleared them out and my friend went on his way with everything working.
