Speedometer Issue
I have a 2001 FLHTCUI with a Power Commander III which was installed and dyno-tuned by my local Harley dealer. and it' been running great for many years until this summer. After running about 60 miles the speedometer will stop working, the check engine light will come on, after 4-5 seconds the speedo comes back on then the check engine light goes out, the whole time the odometer keeps working. The only time it does it is during downshifting or when I disengage the cruise control with the front brake lever. It happens 5 or 6 times over a 100 mile ride. I put a new speed sensor on but didn't help. No codes were stored.

did you try removing the pc3 from the equation? take it off, and see if the bike still does it. if not, then you've isolated the culprit. if it does, then further troubleshooting is required.
