Default Experience with Tank Lifting 2009 Sportster 1200 XLC

A few years back I picked up my 2009 Sporty she is my first Harley and I have loved her since my very first ride..
The previous owner had installed drag bars, a naked style air filter, and some Burly Stiletto.. Other than that she was completely stock..
Slowly over time I have been making her my own by adding a few bolt on's all pretty minor and aesthetic to style the bike more to my taste..
I have been toying with the idea of lifting the tank a little but I was curious if anyone has experience, suggestions, and pictures so I can get a better idea of what my bike may look like and which kits to consider if I choose to do it.. Since the XLC model has the larger tank I really wanted to see some examples of bikes with that tank lifted but for the most part all I can find pics and examples of are bikes with a smaller tank.. Attached a couple pics of my bike ..
Thanks to all..

I did a tank lift on my dyna. When looking for pictures I’d see different pictures claiming the same lift height. Some I’d like and others I wouldn’t. You really need to see it on your bike with your bars etc. What I’d recommend you do is snap a few pictures of your bike at different angles. Then remove the front tank bolt and prop the tank up on something that won’t scratch anything. 1,2, and 3 inches. Take pictures from the same angles. Scroll through them and keep referencing back to the stock tank height.

Good looking Sportster. Why ruin it by lifting the tank? I don't think your bars would clear a lifted tank either and those drags look great on that bike.

Ask this is the Sportster section, also see DKCustoms http://www.dkcustomproducts.com/spor...its-c28-42.htm

You can only lift a Custom so high do to tank size and location of instrument location.
