What handles better ST custom or WG.
Plain and simple question for all you long time riders
Which would handle the twisties better [ under 55/65 mph]
The soft Tail Custom or the Wide Glide
Both 07 s
I'm shooting the lock off the wallet and buying one next week.
Getting off a 2004 Sporty 1200 custom.
Thanks all

and I could feel the difference. but I think my nightrain is easier to lay over in the turns , but that might just be the bars though (the dyna had ram horn bars!?! and mid controls)

Had '91 and '95 Softails. I ride an '03 WideGlide, wife has an '04 Softail, son has an '03 Softail. All Agree the WideGlide hands down.

I have both and the Wide Glide is always my choice in the twisties. The suspension system is far superior to that of the Sloptail (and I say that with love). If I could only have one bike it would be the WG.

Im sure The WG would be better in that respect but how often are you going to be ridding hard in the corners? For pure comfort the FXSTC wins hands down.I came off an 07 Dyna Street Bob and its like going from a Beetle to a Caddy in terms of comfort. I didnt even notice that much difference between the Bob and the Softy...I must not push it as hard as most do.

Get the one that lights your fire, not the one that someone else likes. I am a FXSTC man myself. It handles the twisties in the Rocky Mountains good enough for me. Good luck.
PS: The softail looks better.
