Have been riding in the rain today

Now there is moisture in my speedo and all fourturn signallenses of my 06 Bob.

We get them in the shop all the time like that, you will also find that your fuel gauge will fill up with condensation. HD will not admit that it's a problem and refuse to fix them. Since they out-source their speedo and fuel gauges, it's an easy fix.....find a new manufacturer. I have found a way to get the glass off and clean it on the speedo, then it's good for about 5 to 8 weeks (depending on where you live, how much riding and washing, etc) before you need to do it again.

The turn signals are vented and have an open slot in the lens. Make sure it's turned downward so that any rain that makes its way into the housing has somewhere to go.

Vegas, occassionally why don't you come up with a constructive answer to someones comments, rather than just shooting your mouth off.....what's the deal, does it make you feel like a bigshot.......oh wait, I forgot, you're in the top 30 something or other (so you tell us) so that must mean you really are the big guy on the block[sm=insomnia.gif].

The guy has a problem (and it's a legit one, there have been other complaints about the same thing andI see them in the shop all the time with this issue), here's an idea, maybe help find the guy a solution. When I bought my RK, I knew they were fogging up (and mine did within a month) to the point that you couldn't see the speedo sometimes. I simply changed my speedo and fuel gauge, problem solved and I got a bike that was a little better than when I started.

Give the guy a break Vegas, this Harley Phenomenon may be new to him. Wehave all complained about our bikes from time to time. Well....except maybe me because as we all know, the '03's were perfect in every respect and never had any issues...ever.

The truth is there always seems to be something going on with these bikes. If it's not water in the gauges, it's transmissions, or lean running conditions, or radio problems....and the list just goes on an on. I almost think that's as much of theexperience as riding them.

CorL, welcome to the Harley family.

If they made the bikes too good,a lot of techs would be out of work.

When I bought the bike (new) I was aware to expect some shortcomings.
Every brand and type hase some.

But it's not"moaning" to ask for something elementary like waterproof blinkers.

My dealer said that replacing the speedo for a new one will not solve the problem.

Oh yeah Vegashd, my fork lock also blocked -an evident design flaw, but I fixed that all by myself.

BTW, Sam, how did you manage to get off your speedo glass?
